Hi
I am moving my home this Saturday from Bracknell to Crawley. I am trying to get an estimate of how much does Man & Van service companies charge ? What idea I have is that they cost less than the Removal Services but more than the Self Drive Van Hire option. Am I correct in my thinking ?
If anyone of you have used or know about Man & Van services, can please provide more details ?
Thanks
Mayur

Hi Mayur!

Sorry for the late reply - you're right in thinking Man & Van services are less than removal companies. The reason for this is a removal company will pack your things into boxes, load then into the van and then unload and unpack them, on request, at the other end.

A man and van is really what is says on the tin - a man to drive your things to the new place. Quite often they will also help you load and unload, but unlike a removal company, it's just one man. Also, a man and van wont do things like unhook plumbing and carry washing machines, fridges etc out of the property.

Van hire is often very cheap, but you are doing all the hard work yourself.

Which one you get all depends on your needs! you can get a guide to prices and get quotes from removal, man and van, and van hire services through the move me site.

Good luck with your move!
