On the day that you move home, you need to remember to take final meter readings for Gas, Electricity and Water.
If you want to cancel your contract with your current electricity supplier, you have to give them at least two days notice to avoid them charging you when you’ve moved out. Also make sure that you cancel any standing orders or direct debits once your final bill is paid.
You can now use our site to email your final meter readings directly to your utility company. It’s important that you also keep a record of these in case you need them later.
